Kingfisher Cottage

About

The cottage sleeps four adults and one child in two separate bedrooms; the main bedroom has a Queen size bed and a single bed for a child alongside; the front room has two single beds. Electric blankets, double ablution facilities; a gas stove (in case of power outages), an open fireplace and a spacious covered patio overlooking the dam, all add up to a congenial place for an “away from it all” peaceful break.

Local attractions and things to do range from: trout fishing, on both dams and rivers (3 of them, Mooi, Klein Mooi and Bushmans) (Highmoor is one of the best still water fisheries in the country), a visit to the Crane Rehabilitation Centre, San Rock Art or a day in the Weenen Game Reserve, to horse trails, golf, excellent hiking opportunities in three Nature Reserves where Eland abound, a simple picnic on the banks of the Little Mooi (on the property). Enjoy the great variety of bird life, or may be…. just come and relax.

Please note that entrance to the Nature Reserves is upon payment of a small fee and all fishing requires the payment of a rod fee.
